My girl Ann's recipe:
Buy fresh or frozen wings from the store, thaw according to package directions and follow the recipe below - it's from "Eat This, Not That" with my modifications...

2 pounds of wings
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp chili powder
Mix spices and toss with wings.

The recipe says to bake at 450 for 15 minutes.

I prefer the grill!---

Then toss with your favorite bottled sauce or a mixture of 1/2 melted butter 1/2 hot sauce!
**We just dumped the Organic wings on the grill for about 30 mins then tossed in Red Hot/Butter**

If you have not entered my GIVEAWAY--today is the last day to get that cute purple purse!!

Q. QUOTE FROM A MOVIE:
One of our wedding quotes:
The best love is the kind that weakens the soul, that makes us reach for more, that plants fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. And that’s what you’ve given me. That’s what I hope to give to you forever. Poets often describe love as an emotion that we can’t control, one that overwhelms logic and common sense. That’s what it’s like for me. I didn’t plan on falling in love with you, and I doubt that you planned on falling in love with me. But once we met, it was clear that neither of us could control what was happening to us. We fell in love, despite our differences, and once we did, something rare and beautiful was created. For me love like that has happened only once, and that’s why every minute we spent together has been seared in my memory. I’ll never forget a single moment of it.   ~Notebook

Girls' Night Wednesday!

This November 5, I am thankful that I can now say that I have a "green thumb."
I used to kill plants and now they look pretty good!

*Don't forget to enter my first GIVEAWAY
It ends Monday night--pretty purse & fun books!*

Last Wednesday I was the host of our monthly girls' night!

I was probably way too excited.
{Yes, warning: I'm a dork.}

When I was little, I would help my grandma set our table for Thanksgiving &
dream of the day when I had my own dinner parties to throw.

 The one room of the house we've really put time, money & comepletely changed, is our dining room.

The painting we bought in Paris near the Eiffel Tower

I'm in love with it!

Newest purchases from Hobby Lobby!!

Some of my closest friends over for a tasty meal, some good wine & even better conversation.

What we really talk about? I can never post & tell! ;)

Matty made a delicious spinach artichoke dip, which we enjoyed with sweet potato chips.

Alison made a scrumptious salad, with homemade cherry-somethin dressing {Recipe puhlease!!}

I made the main dish:
Bacon Wrapped Gorgonzola Stuffed Chicken Breasts
 {recipe to follow}

Kristin made a magical Maple-Pecan Cake with freshly whipped cream.

Al is so cute!

Yes, you can literally just, whip, the cream.
hehe

I am sad my turn is over, but so happy to have hosted.

Our traditional shot...
Matty, I need your copy, as you are still fiddling with your camera & not in my photo!!

I ended the evening with some espresso.

Next month, it's onto Alison's <new!> house and I get to bring a dessert.
Suggestions?

Wedding Craft Ideas

I am thankful for such wonderful friends (Nov. 3) & an awesome family (Nov. 4).
{Forgot to post with yesterday's!}

So, I'm a bit slow with getting my wedding scrapbooks together.
But, I feel it is worth the time & effort.

The first one I'm working on is our "Guest Book".  {Pictures here}

I put it together prior to the wedding day & left it out so people could add to it. I am so happy I did this.

It provided a creative outlet for our guests to leave a thoughtful or funny note.

It also gave me something to look forward to as I put pictures in to match with the notes our guests left.

 Our office looks like this when crafting!:
But that's ok! ;)

On a random note, a creative and wonderful gift I received from my friend Alison:

She took our invitation and put some scrapbook paper behind it, and placed it in a new frame.

What a great way to show off that pretty little invite!  Thanks again Al!! xoxo

Any other cute personal gift ideas out there?  I love a good heart-warmer!
