Clean Eating:

I am really trying to eat clean and healthy.  Winter hibernating has me feeling not so fab! Every morning I still start my day out with this fun little concoction. Eggs, spinach, tomatoes, feta.

Trying Something New:

Joe taught me how to shoot a few weeks ago.  I was nervous because I've never pulled a trigger, but it wasn't so bad! I actually hit the little gopher target on the first try!

Boys:

Speaking of guns, this one is starting to like his toy gun from Uncle Ty Ty! He runs around yelling "bang bang!"

Storm Update:

We did end up with a little bit of damage from the windstorm. One of our trees fell down right next to our shed, luckily it fell away from the house!

Reading:

I'm in a virtual book club and really trying to keep up! I don't make myself sit and read enough, but this one definitely needs your undivided attention.  I can't read and hear screaming littles!

I needed to highlight this part...I'm constantly beating myself up for not "being where I think I should be" or going as fast as I think that I should.

House Inspiration:

I like to take little drives with the kids to scope out nice houses in the area. #creeperstatus I'm gathering inspiration for when we build as well as looking for any For Sale By Owners!

Digging Earth Tones:

I'm obsessed with this little succulent I got at Wegmans.  I also love painting my nails these colors lately!

Growing my Team & Clients:

I am really loving my little VIP group!  I do fun giveaways and am starting to put together items for a sample sale.  It's hard to part with pretty pieces, but it's time to move out the old to make room for new.   I love going "FB LIVE" and having girl talk too. Care to join?  Hop on over!  Style by Jenn VIP Group

Sales:

I still can't believe all the gold beauties that are available this month at half off when you spend $50.

Storm #2:

I was well prepared for "Stella" to come and dump a bunch of snow on us.  I love being cozied up inside, baking & having no place to go.

We got over 2 feet.

Stella the snow storm!

Workouts:

After a bit of a hiatus, I am sweating and loving it again!! I find that if I post pictures I tend to motivate myself and keep myself accountable. I have a little disco dress to fit into soon!  I made it to a yoga class before the big storm and did a few at home workouts.  I'm starting to walk Holly on the regular, am/pm and that really helps me so much.

Baking:

I try everything to get the kids to eat more fruits and veggies.  These were a hit for Bradley but Brooke not so much after the first few bites.  Banana whole wheat muffins, with maple syrup and coconut oil.

Mommy/son time:

I had groceries to buy, clothes to fold, dishes to do, and so many things!! But, this little guy trumped everything.  We've been stuck inside for far too long and I knew a little one on one time while having some fun would help this little dude out so much!! He's such a ham.

Playing:

We tried to play in the snow, but it was a bit overwhelming for the kids.  Both of them got stuck and cried at the same time! Oh my goodness.  Never a dull moment!

Cooking:

I get requests for these bad boys all of the time!! Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 an hour, flip and coat and bake another 30 minutes.

Drinking:

I love a good red and this was delightful!  Warms you right up on a cold Winter Day.

It's always hard to just start when you've stepped away for a bit.  So I thought I'd just share some of what is happening currently.  I am currently...

Sitting outside on the back deck, sipping on some fruit punch rehydrate and banging out this little blog post.  My fingers just needed to feel the keys under them and share what's on my heart, in my mind and what I've been up to.  I started that Mary Kay Andrews book last night, as I need a lighthearted beach read to just ease my mind a bit, with all that's been happening.

Cooking- I made this yummy and easy pasta dish the other week.  I just sliced up summer squash/zucchini, cooked in on a grill pain with a little extra virgin olive oil & this TS spice.  I sprinkled parm cheese at the end.  I boiled the pasta and then tossed it all together in the grill pan. So good!

Drinking- Iced chai soy lattes.  My jam!

Enjoying a little day date with my girl! We went to Wegmans and the Farmer's Market.  It was so nice to give her my undivided attention.

LOVING this hot Summer weather.  I don't remember having such great weather for so often and I am not taking any of it for granted!

Grateful for my mom staying with us; even under these conditions, it has enabled Joe and I so many little opportunities to spend some one on one time.  This was a day where we went out to lunch!

Getting all sorts of determination lately.  I feel like 'the next big thing' for us is around the corner. We just keep surrounding ourselves with positive people and those who truly 'get us' and it's really making for a beautiful life.

Feeling so blessed to these curly haired babes.  So many times I just find myself sitting and staring; watching them be siblings.  They bicker, of course, but when they're sweet and nice?  Melts my mama heart big time.

Amazed by this sunset at our land; how perfect will this view be?

Adoring this brand new tote that launched today in KEEP!  {Shop my mystery hostess social & enter to win rewards!}

Obsessing over these two necklaces combined to create a festive look for the 4th! {Tulum & Bliss}

Watching Scandal.  I finally got caught up and I'm all like--whaaaa whaaaa?! Oliva Pope.  That apple did not fall far from the tree! I cannot believe she won't just go face the sun with Jake dammit!!!

Reading I finished The Nest, Girl on a Train, and just began Me Before You.

Packing for Toronto.  It's always a bit of a process getting all of us all packed up and settled.  I worry about silly little details and last time almost forgot to bring the dog to my sister's. I need to make a list.

Cooking whatever is in the cupboards.  I need to do this more often. It's nice to go through and sort out what is expired (ew) and use up what we have.  Otherwise it's autopilot to the grocery store and buying more stuff.   Fish sticks for dinner, okay honey?

Loving the sunshine.  It's so nice to take the kids out and play in the sandbox, on the grass, on the back deck, anywhere but in the house!

Disliking rude relatives.

Listening I'm loving these dance songs.  Jt brings a smile to anyone's face and I'm loving the Caribbean feel of Drake's One Dance.

Workouts I've done some barre legs, piyo and today I'm hoping to do my arms. Maybe a TIU workout is in order. Love those girls!

Dreaming up our home!  Hubby met with our builder and we have some action steps to take with our land!  I'm so stinking excited.

Planning June is almost here and the crazy that is!! I'm hoping to set up some fun play dates with friends so the tent sale doesn't drag on and we don't get too lonely without daddy for a few weeks while he makes that money.

Drinking my monthly Club W wine shipment!  I love that I can pick out 4 bottles, get free shipping and they arrive at my door.  You can earn referral credits, review wine and get credits and the wine is actually really good!

Enjoying time with my kids.  I feel like for awhile I felt a little lost, or like I should be doing more.  More of what I never really knew, but right now I'm really just into being mommy.  I know I only have the Summer left with Brooke home like this all the time, and pre-school will start (which will be wonderful for all of us!) but I'm soaking it all in.

Excited for Summer.  That said, I have so many ideas for us to do!  The house may be hard to keep clean, because I want to get out and explore when the weather gets hot! I want to find more nature hikes, playgrounds, beaches, you name it! How many spray parks can we hit up?  Can we make new friends with a pool? hehe

Currently {Thursday Edition}

Happy Thursday!! Oh man is it snowing outside! I was hoping to take the kiddos to the museum of play, but they're still kind of sick and the roads are terrible.  So I have been trying to break out some fun things like paint in ziploc bags taped to the windows and banging on pots and pans with wooden spoons.  It's sort of working...

I had a few ideas floating around in my head that I wanted to share!

Meditation:
For 4 days in a row, I have started each morning with this 10 minute guided meditation for my chakras.  I obviously don't expect immediate results, but I have been wanting to meditate and work on this forever, so I just started doing it. I'll grab my iPad first thing and listen to it.  So far I like it. I want to give it 21 days to really start it as a habit and see how I feel.

KEEP:
Today the new Blue Ikat leather keeper was released along with the new Chevron Geo Bar.  How adorable?!  I cannot wait to add this to my arm parties.   " Wear this Limited Edition Key as a reminder that beyond the clouds, the stars still sparkle."  ---I LOVE THAT!!

Sticky Asian Ribs:
Dinner is marinating in the fridge as I type!  I combined two recipes and kind of put my own spin on them.  I am hoping these turn out as good as I hope!! I will for sure let you know and give a better detail of them.  {here and here}  I made a soup the other day kind of concocting a bunch of things together and Joe and I LOVED it. So, here's to another new recipe!!

Listening to:
So this song isn't new, but it's on some commercial and I had Joe look it up...the lyrics are actually really good! It came on my "Today's Hits" on Pandora too, so I just keep playing it.  Nice little ring to it...

Bradley boy:
Have I mentioned that I never had brothers or really any sort of "training" when it comes to baby boys?! Haha.  This one, ohhhh my word.  He is something else, I tell ya! He fell asleep on the way home from Target the other day...

He finds it hilarious to put the soft block in this wood holder and bounce on it.  Repeatedly.  He also really enjoys climbing onto EVERYTHING and giving his momma almost heart attacks.   Clearly he's a bit on the wild side. Most pictures are like this~

And today?
Brooke was up coughing at 11, 1, 3 {got up to get her some water, let the dog out} and then she was up at 5.  Bradley woke up crying and has been off all day--I had Joe bring home some infant tylenol as I think it's his bottom molar and I usually don't give our babes meds, but this little dude was in pain and I felt so bad for him.  He's finally down napping now and seemed A LOT better after that.  Plus they're both fighting off these stupid colds...

Drinking:
Club W--My friend Amie sent me a coupon to try this wine delivery.  You see, here in NY I can't just grab a bottle of wine at the grocery store.  We have to go to a liquor store, which never happens with two littles in tow.  Plus they have a cool quiz you can take and get some wine recommendations.  If you're interested, here's the coupon for you to try!  {here}  Since that box I ordered hasn't arrived yet, I may have begged hubs to grab me a bottle of white on the way home. #sos

Reading:
I've got a goal to be more of a finisher.  I tend to get sidetracked with great ideas and ambitions, but never finish, or almost never finish and then I feel like poo. {Thanks to a Chalene podcast I was listening to, it really helped me see that!} SO,  I started reading The Sell a few months ago and I am bound and determined to finish it!  I will review it when I am done. #boom

Thought of the day week: I keep pushing on.  This doesn't really mean I'm going to give up as a mom by any means, it's just that in general, things get super hard and I get frustrated...but I know that it's in these crucial moments a breakthrough is bound to happen.

Stay beautiful my friends!! xox

Currently {Summer Edition}

Playing:

Outside.  Girl would stay out there all day errr day, if we could, I would.  I hit up the Dollar Tree and scored some garden tools, hula hoop, baseball bat, a ball.  She doesn't even know what to do with these, but finds them fun to run around with and play.

Eating:

I will admit I have already started packing on the pounds, so now that birfffdays are done, I am back on my 80/20.  Ok, it's more like 70/30 there may have been a cheesesteak earlier this week but I am making a REAL effort to eat cleanER.

Breakfast is pretty standard-- I try to eat a few eggs/egg whites w/ kale, spinach, or whatever leafy green I have on hand, and load up on ma fruit.  I feel like if I can start the day "clean" I have a little bit better control throughout the day.  I said a little.

Sometimes I have a whole grain flat sandwich, toasted.

I ran out of fresh fruit, but sometimes we don't always eat the bowl of fruit I cut up, so I freeze it. Perfect for days like this, I just whip up a smoothie.

Lunch-- I try really hard to get my greens in.  I invested in some OG salad dressing and use a little on the side.

I have been craving deli meat, but I don't even like to get it and microwave it, so I have been using sliced chicken instead--PERFECTION!  A little hummus, cream cheese, tomato, cucumber, lettuce and voila!! So tasty.  I use a low carb wrap and one is the perfect amount!

That Prego:

I wish I was all trendy and cute with heels and stuff…but chasing after Brooke and running a house all day, I am so happy I have some comfy kicks to support my tired feet. I am definitely getting older haha.

I do love that the clothes I wore with Brooke can be worn again…I made this, aka ironed on a little image that says, "What's Kickin" with feet.

Something New:

This summer hasn't been super hot, which is fine, so we haven't really needed the air on a ton.  The issue however, is that we can't even open our windows in our room, so it gets a little stuffy and warmer than any other place in the house.  Or down comforter was just too heavy and we both kept waking up hot--so I scored this pretty at Bed Bath and Beyond.  $99, came with sheets, a bed skirt and shams.  I used a 20% coupon and I am loving the pattern.

Apparently we never have company, but a few times this month people popped over and wanted water to drink and we literally had NO glasses.  So I bought a set of 16 at Marshall's.  $10.99 holla!  Don't mind the rando baby bottle…I'm totally in limbo. Like why bother putting all this stuff into storage when I'll need it all again in 6 months?!

Joe and I feel so grown up.  Oh wait, we are and have a second kid on the way! About that…yeah, still haven't done a darn thing with the nursery or anything.  I feel like once we know boy or girl, it will be go time and I'll be super motivated to get my booty into gear.

Crunchy moment:

It's kinda hard when most  all of my energy goes into this little girl.  Holy smokes!  She is go go go and I love it, just wish I could keep up better.  We do the Farmer's Market every Thursday and she goes CRAZY for the berries.  We enjoy supporting our local CSA and she loves going.

Aha moment:

Kinda gross, but if you have fresh fruit/veggies out that you're constantly cooking with or snacking on, maybe you have an issue like I did with fruit flies! I hate them. So nasty.  So I rolled a piece of paper into a cone, filled the bottom of a mason jar with apple cider vinegar and a few pieces of fruit.  I have caught like 20 in two days. Ew!!

Me moment:

I just try to do something for myself, out of the house…it doesn't happen weekly, but every few weeks I pop out to get my nails done.  I just like having a little girlie time and I loved this 'hot rod red'.

Toddler Tornado:

I know it's not going to get any easier.  I know that it's actually going to get messier and harder, but I really try to embrace these moments.  Our basement got a little water in it and so we were starting to get some mold…so I grabbed this baby rocker and brought it up, since it was one of the many items that didn't need to be cleaned, Brooke has been trying to sit in it. Quite funny!

Thinking/feeling:

17 weeks pregnant today and I still feel good; just tired.  It has been a long and somewhat trying week and I am glad it's almost over!  It's sooooooo hard to listen to my body, but I really don't want to end up on bed rest, so I just keep doing what I can and if I need to rest, I do.  I didn't need to go on bed rest with Brooke or anything, but it's like one of my fears--because I don't know what would happen with my home if that were the case!  {like right now, I felt a little like I was overdoing it with the house cleaning, so I sat…to blog.   Brookie happens to be down for nap, so that helps! :)  She has been all over the place napping inconsistently again. Random.}

You really can just do so much and pushing yourself while pregnant, I just don't think is the thing to do.      I'm literally trying to tell myself this as I type, I guess.  I hate feeling lazy, but growing a baby is not exactly a walk in the park on my body!!
