Allison is a sweet girl who blogs about all things.
If she's not on your reading list, she should be.
I shared a yummy and super easy recipe--
seriously, it only has 4 ingredients.
Check it out!
Have a lovely day readers!
The sun is shining here,
hubby has off,
an Iced Venti Soy Vanilla Latte is calling my name.
I see Starbucks in my future.

It's OK, right? Right.

IT'S OK
...I ate way too much homemade pizza and lemon meringue pie at my in-laws...so...good...
...that after I wrote my post about white pants, I went to Old Navy and found a pair...woop woop!
...that I went for neon barbie pink nails and luuurve them...
...that I'm NOT ok with being behind on my shows...
...but I'm happy to be busy and enjoying this weather...
...that I really don't care too much about St. Patty's Day...
...I am super excited to go on a double date with my girl Alison & her hubs Matt tonight...
TAPAS&SALSA
via
...I have been somewhat obsessed with skin care and I keep buying new products...
...that it feels like a mini vacation to me since I haven't cooked dinner, Tues, Weds, or tonight!
...that I went from 6 cups of coffee down to 4 and already regret it...
...that if it's not in my planner, it probably doesn't get done...
...that hubs and I are going to Charleston, SC to visit my mother and I am SO excited to get away!
...for said mini vacay, it's a reasonable explanation for the need of cute spring hats, sunnies, scarves, shoes....
....that since I played yesterday, I have a lot of cleaning to do today...
What's OK in  your world?

Pinteresting Wednesday: White Pants/Shorts

Happy Hump Day!!
I am still in shock over this gooorgeous weather.
67 degrees in March?
I'll take it!
It's supposed to hit 70 this weekend!
I am just loving walking the dogs sans coat and getting fresh vitamin D!
I have been trying to walk the dogs and do a workout as well,
I did it yesterday and I hope to do it again today!
I want to be feeling and looking good in all my Spring and Summer clothes.
I'm linking up with Michelle at The Vintage Apple

Some of my favorite PINS this week include:
The White Pants
or White Shorts.
I love the versatility of white.
It's symbolic of being pure and innocent
and yet, tight, white, bottoms elude anything but(t)!
You can wear it laid back with linens and flip flops
or throw on a pair of heels for some za-za-zooo!
This first pin makes me realize I need red shoes.
Love her hair, eye makeup & everything about this!

So, what is the stance on white bottoms?
I've read you can wear it before Memorial Day...
I also have it engrained that I cannot.
Do you wear white before Memorial Day?
After Labor Day?
If this crazy warm weather keeps up,
I'll be sporting mine before Easter!
Have a fabulous day lovies!!

Workout DVD Review

Last week, while browsing the lov-a-lee Tar-jay,
I stopped over at the workout DVD section.
I asked my girlfriend Ann which she preferred, this or
6-week Six-pack and she said Ripped.
So I tried it out on Saturday.
I.
Am.
So.
Sore!
(I think I'm finally ready to try it again today,Tuesday!)
With this DVD there are 4 levels, weeks 1-4
I was doing the 'modified' version of most of this level 1 workout.
I can't wait to do it again {sarcasm}
No really, I feel so much tighter in my arms.
I love her 3-2-1 system
3 minutes of strength {I used 3 lb weights}
2 minutes of cardio
1 minute of abs.
It's a short 20 minute workout but she kicks your butt.
I love that she's an inspirational speaker in some regards too.
My favorite line, as she punished me,
"Perfection sucks."
She made this point that being perfect is boring and if we are perfect,
then what's the point of living?
Always just give "it" 110% and don't worry about trying to be perfect.
If you just give it your all, then that's all that matters.
Be proud of yourself of what you do accomplish.
I knew I'm not in the best shape, but sheesh!
Not gonna lie.
I'm scared to see what weeks 2-4 are like!
I really look forward to seeing results from this full body workout.
Of course, when working out you need to look cute too...
My Tar-jay purchases!
Bra: $16
Shorts: $10
DVD: $9
Yay for good health!!
What's your favorite workout DVD?

Let's Face It

So, ladies, what is it about the big three-OH?
I don't feel, 30 but my body is definitely different!
Those extra holiday Lbs are not budging like they used to.
My daily love affair with bread and my beloved morning bagels,
has sadly come to an end.
Egg white omlettes and fresh fruit please.
Aside from needing to tone up the triceps a bit more,
and up the ante on cardio/ab work,
my face is a changin'.
My skin is so different from 5 or 6 years ago.
I've been fortunate to have good skin,
it's never too dry or too oily.
However,
I feel like my pores have gotten much larger in the last year.
I'm starting to see more, gasp, wrinkles, and the skin around my eyes
just doesn't seem as tight and lifted.
I know, I am 30.
I'd like to think I'm embracing my age as best as I can, but I still want to have
"Young healthy looking skin."
If you don't follow Lauren Conrad's blog, you should!
She has tons of tips etc. on all aspects of life.
Her post here
inspired me to share some of my own healthy skin habits with you!
{I just want to make sure I give my girl LC credit!!}
Here's my list of what I try to do to achieve this!

  • Only drink water & lots of it (other than coffee or tea)
  • I eat lots of fruits and veggies
  • Stay away from fried foods
  • I try to not touch my face; it is gross to think all that our hands do touch!
  • Remove my makeup most days {working on this}
  • Take mutli-vitamins
  • Drink green tea
  • Trying to sleep on my back {I'm usually a side sleeper}
  •  Always wear sunglasses
  • Wear a hat in the sun
  • Wash every day with a milky/creamer cleanser
  • Use a deep pore cleanser every 3-4 days
  • Get professional facials at least twice {if not more} a year-[I really love the "Sonic Facial" where it seems to take a few years of your face!!]
  • Wear an SPF face lotion every day
  • Don't tug on skin near/around eye when applying lotions
  • Started using an eye cream
  • Use high quality makeup {such as Bare Escentuals}

Out of everything I've tried, my favorite face lotion by
Olay
This sensitive skin formula has NO SMELL!
It doesn't leave me feeling greasy or oily.

And for night time, I like their

I am a firm believer in this eye cream too.
I can totally see a difference.
I even put a dab in between my eye brows where
there is a slight crease forming.
It is a tad pricey, but again, how much is botox?

So, thanks to many b-e-a-utiful bloggy friends
and their gorgeous skin and wonderful recommendations,
 Amber
Danielle
Shasta
{just to name a few}
I have officially ordered my very own
 Clarisonic facial cleanser,
Via
I will definitely write up a review on it.
I hope it gets here soon!!
:)
I tried a facial mask from LUSH before and I loved it!
It was a chocolate mint sample and I'd love to do it again.
So soft.
I remember when I was a teenager,
I read in my Seventeen magazine about an egg-white mask.
It turned from slime to stick and I don't think it did much
other than gross me out.
So I think I'll stick with some of these other natural DIYs!
I hope to implement a few of these!
Most of the DIY at home facials use simple
ingredients, such as:

What beauty tips do you have to share for your face?
Any certain products you'd recommend?
Leave a link with your blog post if you've already written something similar!!
I love finding new ways to rejuvenate my face...since Botox is not an option.
Yet.
