Vacay day 2 {Lake George}

It rained a little bit first thing Tuesday, but it was so warm we didn't mind.  We sat out on the porch for our breakfast…

Brooke was highly entertained by the whole sitting in a chair, here's your menu thing…

She ordered banana pancakes (shaped like a bunny!)

I had two eggs over easy, ham, & a homemade biscuit---SO good!

After I changed the kids, we decided to go for a bit of a drive.  Both of them fell asleep and it was nice and quiet, so Joe and I could just talk about everything…and then he stopped for gas and picked up these! Naughty.

For awhile our phones looked like this:

Which resulted us looking at this--his trusty old map!

We ended up over by Schroon Lake and found the cutest General Store {Here}where we bought a few goodies.

Heeeeyyyyyy!  This dude was so well behaved.  He loved just watching everything and everyone.

We ate like early birds (missing lunch because of our late breakfast, but at 4:00 the restaurant is nice and quiet, so it we had it all to ourselves!) I kind of liked that, because, well, my kids are rather loud!  So we were able to just do our thing and enjoy.

We were getting pretty hangry, ok Brooke and I were, Joe can just go all day and night without eating…so we decided to try out Captain Dick's Crab Shack. Pretty good!!

Since we were on vacation, pina coladas were in order!

As were the crab legs.

Silly faces at dinner.

After we ate, we walked around town for a bit.  We stopped in the arcade and played for a bit.

Daddy teaching her how to shoot.

I then decided to push the two kids up the big hill to our hotel, since it made no sense to back track with them to the truck--I worked up a good sweat and beat Daddy back!  We made a quick trip to the pool since someone was DYING to get in for a swim…

It was really warm and very shallow (4 feet) and even Bradley enjoyed it.

Rocking her new LG sweatshirt.  It's a little big, but this way she can grow into it.

Busy day for our little man.

Someone got a little hungry later on, so good thing I had PB&J ready to whip up for her!

I must say, I impressed myself with how ready for this vacation I was. I wasn't expecting a relaxing time, like I knew the kids would still need everything done like at home, but that we would be in a hotel, and we were able to just enjoy the time together.  I am so happy we got the suite with a little sink/fridge/microwave.  The extra space in the room was very handy, as Brooke slept in the pull out couch and the baby was in the pack and play.  It was the perfect amount of room for all 4 of us and we really utilized it!

Lake George [ADK]

We were SO excited to have some family time together and our little family vacation was exactly what we needed!! I attempted to keep up with workouts, as I know how hard it is to get back into things, so I made sure to get one last workout in early Monday morning before we left.  I love working out on the back deck, minus the bugs, it's perfect!

We packed up and headed out by 10am.  We did a little pit stop on the thruway and little miss enjoyed her vanilla bean sweet treat.

She was pretty good with the car rides; on the way there was the toughest, but she really got used to it after a little bit.  I made sure to pack a few new items like books, color wonder markers, pretzels, and we did bring the iPad since the Suburban we borrowed did not have a DVD player.

We stopped in Saratoga for a lunch…it honestly wasn't my favorite {Korean something or other} it just didn't really taste fresh and I wasn't in the mood for it, but the waitress was really nice, we sat outside and we were on vacation!!

He's been loving his mesh feeder with fresh fruits.

We rolled into Lake George later that afternoon -- Brookie was SO excited! It's all we've talked about the last month or so, and she was ready!

The Holiday Inn was super kid friendly and she loved the silly glasses-I am not sure why she was looking like a mummy here, but she cracks us up!

We headed down to main street and Brooke couldn't wait to see the lake.

This little man, was SO well behaved.  We were a little worried that he wouldn't adjust to being on the go, but I just made sure to always have a bottle and food ready, and he was golden.

For dinner we had Joe's favorite BBQ--Barnsider. It is pretty good, like their ribs are amazing--smoked and all.  Our first day was perfect and we enjoyed every second of our time together as a family!

Looking at this photos makes me want to go back already!!

Catching Up {the 4th}

Since I have no idea where to even START today with my messy house, I figured I would upload some photos since I haven't blogged since JUNE. Oy! July is seriously my favorite month, with the hot weather, our anniversary and my birthday, I love it all!!

We got back home Saturday after an amazing family vacation and lots of time off with my husband. It was so refreshing to just have him around and not at work!  I can tell it's already really hard on little miss Brooke, even though I tried preparing her that Daddy has to go back to work today, she is still asking for him!  They are too much.  Before I can share all of our Lake George fun, I wanted to catch up on the 4th!

We went over to dinner for some grilled Italian sausages at my in-laws on the last night my husband had to work late.  Grandma had lots of surprises for the little ones! It's hard to see, but she made Brooke an Elsa/Ana dress! So cute!

It is so adorable.

And for Mr. B?  LOTS and lots and lots of bibs.  Since he's still spitting up all the time, I can't ever have to many.

She did a wonderful job on the bibdnanas! Thank you so much Mama D!

We went to my Dad's for the 4th.  I have been taking these photos each year since I bought this silly VS shirt--

Prego with Brooke, Brooke 5 months old.

Prego with Bradley and Brooke is 1.5

How cute are they!?  Brooke 2.5 and Bradley 5 months

She was all about the red white and blue, just not so excited over fireworks..at all.

Bradley was so well behaved; I had some anxiety over whether he'd cry a lot like he had in the past, but he was totally cool! I just kept him fed and he loved chilling in a stroller my dad and step mom have.  Plus we could deliver drinks to people :)

I'm not gonna lie, it was super hot out and I was thoroughly enjoying my beverages and not being pregnant in the summer!

These two get along great.

Brooke loved the swan!

Some Sparkler action…

The boys put on a wonderful display and it was such a laid back and enjoyable time.  No drama, no worries and just a lot of fun.  We had a burger bar and great eats.

Here are a few shots with our "good camera"

This would have been a great photo, if my sister and I were looking up!

Trying to get Brookie to eat…I don't think she liked the pasta salads.

The next morning I was trying to get a shot with all the cousins…

We came home Sunday, packed, cleaned, did laundry and took off Monday morning for Lake George.  More to come on that!
