Clean Eating:

I am really trying to eat clean and healthy.  Winter hibernating has me feeling not so fab! Every morning I still start my day out with this fun little concoction. Eggs, spinach, tomatoes, feta.

Trying Something New:

Joe taught me how to shoot a few weeks ago.  I was nervous because I've never pulled a trigger, but it wasn't so bad! I actually hit the little gopher target on the first try!

Boys:

Speaking of guns, this one is starting to like his toy gun from Uncle Ty Ty! He runs around yelling "bang bang!"

Storm Update:

We did end up with a little bit of damage from the windstorm. One of our trees fell down right next to our shed, luckily it fell away from the house!

Reading:

I'm in a virtual book club and really trying to keep up! I don't make myself sit and read enough, but this one definitely needs your undivided attention.  I can't read and hear screaming littles!

I needed to highlight this part...I'm constantly beating myself up for not "being where I think I should be" or going as fast as I think that I should.

House Inspiration:

I like to take little drives with the kids to scope out nice houses in the area. #creeperstatus I'm gathering inspiration for when we build as well as looking for any For Sale By Owners!

Digging Earth Tones:

I'm obsessed with this little succulent I got at Wegmans.  I also love painting my nails these colors lately!

Growing my Team & Clients:

I am really loving my little VIP group!  I do fun giveaways and am starting to put together items for a sample sale.  It's hard to part with pretty pieces, but it's time to move out the old to make room for new.   I love going "FB LIVE" and having girl talk too. Care to join?  Hop on over!  Style by Jenn VIP Group

Sales:

I still can't believe all the gold beauties that are available this month at half off when you spend $50.

Storm #2:

I was well prepared for "Stella" to come and dump a bunch of snow on us.  I love being cozied up inside, baking & having no place to go.

We got over 2 feet.

Stella the snow storm!

Workouts:

After a bit of a hiatus, I am sweating and loving it again!! I find that if I post pictures I tend to motivate myself and keep myself accountable. I have a little disco dress to fit into soon!  I made it to a yoga class before the big storm and did a few at home workouts.  I'm starting to walk Holly on the regular, am/pm and that really helps me so much.

Baking:

I try everything to get the kids to eat more fruits and veggies.  These were a hit for Bradley but Brooke not so much after the first few bites.  Banana whole wheat muffins, with maple syrup and coconut oil.

Mommy/son time:

I had groceries to buy, clothes to fold, dishes to do, and so many things!! But, this little guy trumped everything.  We've been stuck inside for far too long and I knew a little one on one time while having some fun would help this little dude out so much!! He's such a ham.

Playing:

We tried to play in the snow, but it was a bit overwhelming for the kids.  Both of them got stuck and cried at the same time! Oh my goodness.  Never a dull moment!

Cooking:

I get requests for these bad boys all of the time!! Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 an hour, flip and coat and bake another 30 minutes.

Drinking:

I love a good red and this was delightful!  Warms you right up on a cold Winter Day.

What I'm Loving Wednesday

I think I've found a nice little groove for this old blog here, and I'm excited to execute it.  Since I'm focusing on 'gratitude' this year, I want to dedicate a weekly post to what I am loving in life.  I figured since I can be rather random, this would be the perfect place to post all things I'm happy about.

First up? I've been loving the deals my style customers are getting with dot dollars!! $25 off of a $50 purchase. If you've got your eye on something, today is the last day to redeem! I have a few unused codes if you'd like, message me.

I am dying to get my hands on this engravable with our land coordinates. I have seen so many meaningful pieces engraved, and they look so chic!  Love this idea too!

I'm also really happy that my Mystery Hostess Trunk Show already has rewards!  I'll be going live on FB 1/17, but the pot is already growing.  Some lucky lady is going to earn some freebies!  If you'd like in, just shop this link. Every order counts! https://www.stelladot.com/ts/ko8o6

My favorite Brio Tassel is only $44 with one dot dollar code. I adore this necklace.

My other pick would be the Genevieve. All the heart eyes! This has got to be my favorite from the Fall line.  You can wear it so many ways!!  {use code: QTCIKLBU to save!!}

Food. I just love food; correction, really really good food!! I ordered some Tastefully Simple from my girl Cathy and this recipe screamed New Year's Day.  I had fully believed we were going out NYE, so I wanted an easy dinner to cook itself.  Well, we stayed in but it was still really nice to just let this simmer in a crock pot all day.  It smelled so good!

The pork shoulder literally fell off the bone and I just shredded it. I remove all the fatty parts and then placed it back in the sauce.

You could dip, but you really didn't need to. OMG. I want another one.

This was the sauce I used!

Another recipe is one that my husband found!! Back Alley Ribs.  He has now made these twice, they are THAT good!  {Clearly we enjoy pork...I need to get back into chicken!}

All the fanciness ground up.

Pom/Lime juice.

I'm loving that I started the New Year off on the right foot!  I found this to be inspiring.

While the kiddos napped, I took Holly on a long walk.  The sun was shining and I had to take a photo, since ya just never know when the sun will come out again!

And lastly, books. I am on a big old book kick again lately and one that I am listening to currently is this.  It's quite interesting and if you pick it up, you may find that you learn a thing or two.  It's eye opening because even though you may think you're being positive and manifesting what you want, your thoughts could still be going in the wrong direction...more on that later. I have to re-listen to parts of it. Highly recommend it though!!

Happy Wednesday!!

What I Ate Wednesday

Happy Hump Day!
I've had a few requests asking what I've been eating, so I figured I would share.
I've really been playing with my diet, mostly because of my reflux. I've found triggers that really bother me and try my best to avoid them.

Meal 1-
Breakfast:
2 eggs scrambled with a handful of spinach cooked in.
Sprinkle of feta cheese, a few tomatoes, & 2 slices of organic turkey bacon.

Matcha Latte with soy milk

Meal 2-
This has been a lovely in between breakfast and before my workout snack!
I just drizzle a little of the plain Kefir, not sweetened,
over whatever fruits weren't finished at breakfast.

Meal 3-
Post workout protein shake.

Meal 4-
Lunch today was 2 big red leaf lettuce leaves
-leftover whole chicken from dinner
-mix in a little bit of mayo (I like the evoo mayo) and a little avocado
-some grapes mixed in too with a dash of sea salt

Meal 5-
Dinner:

Tonight was man pleasing chicken thighs & steamed broccoli with sea salt and lemon.
I didn't have any brown rice and I feel like too many carbs bother me.

I'm really listening to my body and if I don't feel like having something, I don't.  I really hate having to watch every little thing at first, but my mood and my physical body feel so much better when I eat like this.

I still have days where we have pasta or ice cream cake, but I try very hard to keep it to a minimum so that I feel my best.

What are you eating lately?

What I ate Wednesday

I'm always intrigued to see what other people eat.  I feel like I get into routines/ruts of the same old same old, so I enjoy when others post what they're eating!  I will be 100% honest and say that I am not the cleanest eater, but I do watch my portions and have been pretty good at working out lately.  I have recently changed up my health routine and am no longer taking any supplements.  I needed to see how I felt with these changes, and so far so good!  I love food and I hate being hungry.  Finding that balance of how much to eat and when is really different for every person.

This is what one day looked like for me.

7:30:
Hot water with lemon

I try so hard to get it in my system first thing, before I eat anything.  Sometimes it happens, and sometimes I'm sipping it while eating my cold eggs. Life happens!

8:15:
Breakfast

Whole wheat toast. 1/4 avocado. 2 eggs scrambled. Salt/pepper. 2 slices of organic turkey bacon.

9:00 am:
Coffee

10:00
I began splitting the fruit--I used to eat this with my eggs, but I realized I was full and didn't need it.  I will eat it about 2-3 hours after I eat the eggs.

12:00:
Lunch
This was a simple organic deli meat sandwich, lettuce, slice of cheese & tomatoes.

2:00:
Post Workout Protein Shake
I've been good about getting kids down and then working out!

5:30:
Dinner

8:00
Late evening snack

I'm not a Dr, dietician or anything else for that matter. But I have really learned to listen to my body's cues of hunger and try to fill my diet as best as possible with real whole foods.  I am not perfect and there are days where I eat some Halloween candy or even pizza and wings.  Life is about balance and once I learned to not feel guilty over enjoying some food, but not eating like that all the time, I've become a lot happier and healthier.

Comment below if you've shared a "what you eat" post! I'd love to see.

Have a great day!
