One time I was walking my dog and I locked myself out of my apartment,

Come Fly With Me {Antigua}

Let's Fly Away!!
I am pumped for our future beach vacation, but for now, I dream.
I am so lucky to have met {and married} a man
who loves to travel as much as I do.
There are many places we have not seen, but a lot that we have
and that we'd love to return to!
This week's Friday's Fancies is all about picking a place you want to travel to,
and dreaming up an outfit.
Out of all the places I could think of,
I really want to go back to one of our stops on our cruise last year:
Most beautiful beach I've laid eyes on.
We visited a beach called, "The Nest".
Everyone was so friendly, not pushy selling items or anything like that.
It was so chill.
Hubby and I rented a Jet Ski and played in the water.
We sipped on the tastiest Mango Margarita I have ever had.
We nibbled on fresh coconut shrimp.
I basked in the sunshine
while he explored the rocks.
It was so perfect.
The only downfall was we had to get back on the cruise ship!
I really hope to return to this beautiful little piece of heaven.
When I do, I'll wear this!
vacay
I am a huge fan of a bunch of jewelry
and a simple bikini.
Obviously, if I'm going in the water I wouldn't wear all of the jewels!
But it's fun for show.
I'd need a big fancy floppy hat to keep my fair skin
from frying in the sunshine!
I'd need big movie star sunglasses to protect my brown eyes.
A flashy beach bag is a true necessity!
It was so warm, nothin more than a sarong would be needed.
Even though I look outside the window and see snow,
I know that soon enough I'll be boarding a plane and
celebrating my sister's wedding on St. Thomas!
{I'm sure it will be beautiful too!}
For now, I'll keep working my behind out in
hopes that by the time vacation is here,
I'm in tip-top bikini-sporting shape!!
Have a fabulous Friday,
lovely readers!

Really, It's OK

Holllllla It's Thirsty Thursday!!
I love Thursdays since hubs has tomorrow off {squeal}
I'm slightly hungover from my Zumba workout.
Last night it was NO JOKE.
I keep chugging water, then coffee, then more water...
I even have a headache, what gives?!?
I am linking up with "It's OK"
I'm 100% OK...
...with the fact that I worked out so hard last night, I almost puked....
...that I spent a small fortune on a new bikini {but got a free beach tote woop woop}...
but then
...I bought a Groupon for a fancy pedicure, so I don't have to pay all that $$$...
...to be happy to dress up/go out Saturday for a friend's birthday hubs just told me this morning...
...that I'm stoked for the UGLY DISCO next Saturday {get down boogie!}...
...to overly excited when I save money couponing on our everyday items...
...that the scale has not budged much, but my clothes are fitting so much better,
I'm feeling fitter, and I'm feeling [emotionally] fabulous!
...to still really want to do a small weekend getaway with the hubs...
...to not know what I'm making for dinner tonight...
...that I may be getting addicted to working out again...
...must.get.on.treadmill...
...to LOVE all my blog friends & all the support out there; you girls rock!
...to be kinda sad I can't go hang out with some of you because you're a gazillion miles away...
...to be slightly annoyed with unappreciative/selfish people...
...to quickly brush them and their comments off, and focus on what's good in life...
...to have a 2 Live Crew song stuck in my head from Zumba last night...
{warning: small bishy rant ahead}
You all know my theory on Zumba.
I LOVE that everyone tries it.
In fact, I highly encourage all people to do it, it's that fun!
But is it that hard to put on deodorant and not leave your clothes
in the washer too long so they have that funky stanky smell?
Ugh.
Plus half of the girls workout the first hour to Zumba Toning
then stay and do the regular Zumba class.
I think that may have contributed to why I wanted to throw up last night.
I have a really sensitive nose and it's just so gross.
Seriously...body splashes are cheap, buy some!
Sorry for the rant, but it really bothers me.
I guess it's ok that I'm not OK with that!
Have a great day, link up and get your workout on!

Photo Shoot Fresh & Our Valentine's Date

Happy Wednesday lovies!
I hope that you were struck with cupid's arrow of some sorts yesterday.
I had a wonderful day, that yes, began with making Joey a nice breakfast,
followed by my debut as a Cover Girl a happy customer
of a local Brow Biz and I gave a testimonial of how
awesome it is to get my eyebrows sculpted there.
I totally missed my Zumba, so I could be in a commercial.
"Because you're worth it."
bahahaha
I am fairly certain L'Oreal will be calling me any time now.
I don't love camera interviews, but I had fun!
I always get stumped, "Repeat what you said, but say this first."
"OK. Wait, what'd I say??"
Doh.
The owner was also too sweet by giving me a quick pre-shoot fix up (free)
some Lindts chocolats {francais accent)
and a gift card to cover my next sculpting visit.
Merci!!
The commercial will be shot in black and white.
So then I came home and baked some cookies for my Valentine!
And got ready for some suprises for our uber romantic date night
IN.
I went to buy rose petals, but could not bring myself
to spend $15 on them to be thrown away.
I did find $4 adorable heart lights I can use again next year!
I wrote a bunch of things I love about him on scraps of paper
and put them all over the table.
He brought me home my favorite wine,
some champagne hence the headache this morning
a card that made me tear up,
some pretty pink roses and
my favorite chocolate
Butterfinger.
I really don't love all chocolates; I'm rather picky.
He grilled our steaks/lobster while I made the lemon risotto {for said lobster}
It was so fun and delicious!
I gave him a few gifts.
Some I will not be sharing!
O=)
And the craft I did {needs to be bound together or put into a book of some sort}
But I had a bunch of scrapbooking crap materials
and a lot of photos laying around...
I felt the creative juices a flowin, and I made a little somethin.
Here are some photos of my project.
I was listening to "Then" by Brad Paisley Radio on Pandora
and all the sappy country love songs were playing...
I'm a big dork and he loves me for it!
Had to throw a little poetry in there, of course.
By 9pm all was said and done, he asked sweetly if he could play COD
I smiled and said yes, since RHOC was on TV.
It was by far, my favorite Valentine's Day yet.
How did you share the love?!
Good thing for Zumba tonight to burn some of the major CALS
I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday.
and today as leftovers.
And I totally ordered a completely different bikini
than the other two I asked opinions on.
Free Beach Bag bishes!!
Totes cute.

Last Minute Ideas for your Lover!

via
Happy Valentine's Day!!
It is here!
The day of looovvvve.
The day some people will hate...
I'll admit, I went through a few single years where
I wore all black and despised any love smitten, pink wearing, smiley couple.
But, alas, I am a hopeless romantic and I have found my true love so
I can be that cheesy Valentine's Day lover today!
As I type this, my husband keeps sending me
"I love you bunny" (one of my pet names)
text messages.
I love you too boo!
I wanted to share a few quick ideas,
not that you haven't gotten or given your Valentine something already
They are inexpensive and most importantly thoughtful.
1.  Print out a larger version of one of your favorite photos in black and white.
I use Snapfish
You can print them out at local places like Walgreens!!
2.  Everyone has "a song". In fact, we have several!
A few years ago I typed up the lyrics for "Umbrella"
added an umbrella image on the backdrop of the paper
and bought a frame.
He loved it!
3.  Many of you typed up stories about how you met.
Have you printed it?
Do it and put it in a frame, add some prety stickers and voila!
{This is actually a gift from my step-mother Tricia on our anniversary.}
4.  Write a letter. I swear, hubs isn't a writer.
He's more of a math person, but when he writes me a letter, I melt.
He wrote me my first letter and had my matron of honor
give it to me the day we got married.
I have received a few letters since then, and when I read them,
I cry.
I promise you there is nothing better than a letter.
It costs time and some true heart pouring love.
5.  Go a little retro and make a CD {or compile mp3} of all the songs you two love.
There are certain songs we listen to and just think about the fun
we had on this vacation or that time we did something cool.
Music is always a great gift!
6.  If all else fails, bake him cookies!
I still have my dough sitting in the fridge.
I have to finish these babies later!
I got side tracked with my crafty gift for hubs yesterday.
I'll share after I give it to him!
I cannot wait to see how everyone shows their love.
One year, I made doggie treats because my dog was my Valentine.
Whatever works, but remember, the more positive energy you send out
to the universe, the more you get back.
If you act like you hate love and don't want anything to do with it, that is what you'll get.
Maybe go listen or watch The Secret
That would be a wonderful gift to give yourself.
As for now, I have to go get ready for an eye brow commercial...
Say what?
Yes. I'm giving a testimonial as to why this lady is da bomb!
For realz though, my eyebrows now look profeshhh.
More on this later--
Happy Valentine's Day  ladies!
May your day be full of red & pink hearts and lots-O-loooovvvvvieeee.
xoxo
