I finally got some photos to upload--I've only been trying since Monday!? I don't know what the deal is blogger. Fix it. Thanks.
We've had an exciting week over here casa Delle Fave!! Miss Brooke has learned to roll over--back to tummy! Only problem? She has yet to master the tummy to back. Why is this a problem you say? Well, she cries when she's on her tum tum. Also if she's on her stomach while sleeping, it freaks me out!! I had to stop the amazing swaddling we had going...
So that now her hands and arms are free to help her push herself up if she does roll over. Let's say it's made for a bit of a sleepless week around these parts. The first night was the worst, but she's getting the hang of it. I don't love that she will flip over and sleep on her stomach, but what's a mama to do? I refuse to put any prop in the crib. I'm sure she'll be fine, she just has to get used to her little hands being out and about.
As if overnight, my little girl is no longer a newborn. She is active and energized; ready to play and be entertained!! I love it, but I wasn't quite ready for it yet. Isn't that the way it goes?
Of course each activity lasts about 15 minutes, and then it's onto the next one. {She literally just took a 15 minute nap; long enough for these darn pictures to load, me to clean up the kitchen and now she's up again!}
She loves to watch me in the kitchen and sit like a big girl in her high chair.
I'm seeing more and more smiles each day!
She was such a good girl yesterday as we ran a bunch of errands: chiropractor, daddy's dry cleaning, the bank, grocery shopping and we ran daddy up some lunch.
With the warmer weather, we are getting outside each day and enjoying the sun! {Well, I am, I have her covered head to toe--such fair skin!}
This was her trying to stay awake on our walk. Her eyes closed a few moments after this; she was one sleepy baby!
There were a million things I wanted to write, but I got so frustrated with the photo issue, I am now drawing a blank...
Well, that and the lack of sleep...
the dessert for girls' night that needs to be made...
the mess that surrounds me...
the magazines I want to read...
the workouts I want/need to do...
the laundry that needs to be switched...
folded...
put away...
lunch that needs to be prepared...
sheets that need to be changed...
floors that need to be vacuumed...
a shower that needs to be taken...
and the babbling baby who now wants my attention!
I guess I felt the need to share some of my to-do list today with you. oops.
The sun is out and overnight the trees have begun to bud; Spring has finally arrived.
Hello, May.
Nice to see you again!

Hello, May.
Nice to see you again!
I love all her expressions!!! You are right, she does not look like a baby anymore. She is beautiful Jenn!!
ReplyDeleteLove this post! Puts me in such a good mood! After 2 straight days of rain the sun is finally out here and we are looking at a nice 72 degrees. My son was excited to wear shorts. No worries about sharing the TD list.. we all have them and sometimes writing them down makes life a lot better. I make a daily to do list myself! to help keep my sanity. Brooke is getting SO big. If only we could freeze time right?! You have so many exciting years ahead of you!
ReplyDeleteshe is such a pretty babygirl! Love her! And great lil post! :)Makes me look forward to my days at home with my lil girl soon!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how big she already is- so sweet!
ReplyDeleteDo you have the Snuza? That helped us with piece of mind when she started rolling over at night. At first we would roll her back over, that didn't last long! She's adorable!
