Energy Bites {recipe}

OK, I am well aware at how many food related posts I've been writing. I guess it's just my current thing!  I was in a kick on Saturday and prepped a bunch of things, so I wanted to share this too.  If you're anything like me, you may love sweets.

There is something about snowy weather just makes me want to get busy in my kitchen…oh wait that sounds interesting! haha

Seriously though, I definitely have a sweet tooth. I love cookies, but I know they're not good for me all the time.  Time and place people!!

 I decided to play around with my amazing Muscle Gain protein powder.

YUMMMMMO!

Recipe:
1/2 cup of organic oats
2 scoops of chocolate muscle gain protein powder
2 tbl almond butter (or pb)
1 tbl coconut oil
1 t/l of chia seeds
a few dried cranberries tossed in

Simple:
Melt pb & oil in pan, stir in everything and roll into balls and chill!

And these….

Let's be honest, it loos like a big turd.

I tried to make 'balls' outta this but it was too mushy, same ingredients minus cranberries and I used too much coconut oil and I tried using cocoa powder.  Meh. I'll nibble on this but the balls are better! {seriously why is everything I am typing sounding so naughty?? haha}

What are you favorite "faux treats" great for when you're trying to be on the clean side, but need to get that protein in?  Please share!

  1. I haven't tried it yet but I've been tempted to make this: http://www.muffin-topless.com/2012/06/24/chocolate-peanut-butter-cup-sludge/. I also love all the recipes listed on Fitness RX website (http://www.fitnessrxwomen.com/nutrition/recipes/) They all sound so indulgent but are good for you! Thanks for sharing :)

  4. Everyone loves discovering delicious new recipes, and an event this is a perfect opportunity to do so. I think art of cooking is not something everyone has the equal grip over. Personal Chefs conduct an in depth assessment of each clients’ food preferences not only from a standpoint of what and how they like to eat
